An Evening With Starhawk

The Three-Legged Cauldron of Regeneration: Social, Environmental and Spiritual

Today we face multiple meltdowns, of the climate and also of our social and political institutions.  How do face the chaos and turn crisis to opportunity?  Permaculture—a holistic system of ecological design—gives us tools to regenerate ecosystems on a large scale.  But to put them into place, we need political, economic and social regeneration—and for that struggle we need ways to deeply connect, support one another and renew our spirits.  In this evening talk and ritual, Starhawk shares the insights of many sorts of magic to create personal and collective healing and resilience.

The talk will be followed by a ritual.  Books will be available for purchase and signing at the reception after the event.

Starhawk is one of the most respected voices in modern earth-based spirituality. She is a permaculture teacher, a veteran of progressive movements, from anti-war to anti-nukes, and is deeply committed to bringing the techniques and creative power of spirituality to political activism and community organizing.

Starhawk is the author or coauthor of twelve books. Her most recent non-fiction book is The Empowerment Manual: A Guide for Collaborative Groups, on group dynamics, power, conflict and communications.
